Who our Author is?
Meet TheMarkerSmith, a proud father of two creative whirlwinds who keep him on his toes, and a computer scientist by trade, but don’t let that fool you—his coding skills are rivaled only by his knack for accidentally sitting on crayons and spilling ink all over his favorite shirts.
TheMarkerSmith discovered his love for drawing way back when he was a teenager, a time when his hair was still more “flowing mane” and less “strategic comb-over.” Back then, he could spend hours sketching away in the margins of his math textbooks (much to his teachers’ dismay). But as fate would have it, life led him down the winding path of computer science—a world full of binary code and algorithms, where the only thing you color is a syntax error.
Fast forward a few years, a couple of kids, and countless late nights debugging code, and TheMarkerSmith found himself dusting off his old sketchbooks. You see, his kids had inherited his love for art (and possibly his lack of coordination), and they wanted to draw with Dad. So, armed with a box of markers and a “how-to” guide from the internet, he jumped back into the world of art—though this time, his canvas was more likely to be the living room wall than a sheet of paper.
Despite the occasional (okay, frequent) mishaps—like the time he mixed up permanent markers with dry-erase ones—TheMarkerSmith has embraced the chaos of drawing with kids. It’s messy, it’s clumsy, and it’s absolutely wonderful. His journey back into the world of art has not only rekindled an old passion but also created countless memories with his children, filled with laughter, learning, and the occasional emergency trip to buy new furniture.
When he’s not working on his next big project in computer science or accidentally creating modern art on the kitchen table, you can find TheMarkerSmith diving into the world of markers, testing out the latest and greatest, and sharing his honest, sometimes humorous, always heartfelt reviews with you.
So whether you’re an experienced artist, a complete beginner, or a fellow parent just trying to keep the markers out of the dog’s fur, TheMarkerSmith is here to help—with a smile, a smudge of ink on his face, and a lot of love for the art of drawing.
